Winder Hughes - Chairman and CEO
Winder evangelizes Order and Vision with great attention to detail alongside a nose for detecting danger. Driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, Winder has over 25 years of investing experience in start-up companies, and founded HI•FI as an outgrowth from his investment partnership, the Focus Fund. He is fascinated by what makes a brand become a global success and thus his lifelong passion has been to create a world-class consumer brand experience that favorably changes the human condition – he has found it with HI•FI. Winder graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a BA in Economics. #taketheknowledgeandleavethepain.
Josh Hoye - Co-Founder & Product Design
In the past, Josh has created solutions for clients like: Volcom, Live Like Sion, Delta Fountains, Mondo Medina, Folio Weekly, Great HealthWorks Inc., Image Comics, Sandy Beach Productions, Downtown Vision Inc., Monster UK, EYE Productions (CBS) and way too many more. He is constantly designing by staying ahead of trends and new UI/UX. His surf art has been exhibited at numerous fine art galleries in Hawaii, Australia, and Florida. Josh is full of passion for the outdoors, surfing and the ocean, which feeds an ever growing wanderlust to experience this beautiful world we live in. Josh is a graduate from Ringling College of Art and Design, and has a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design. #findmeinthesea
Todd Ames - Chief Marketing Officer
A career media and entertainment marketer, Todd's background includes a unique blend of major media, such as Viacom and NBC Universal, mixed with pioneering start-ups in user-generated content and social media intelligence. Todd has an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University's Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA in History from Vassar College.
Christopher Yates - Chief Digital Officer
Chris has managed sales teams to record breaking revenue at some of the largest media companies in the world such as Time Inc, Viacom, Primedia, Scholastic, Weider Publications, Wenner Media & Ziff Davis. His most recent experience consists of launching the digital ad sales strategy for the Bauer Media Group and also held the position of Vice President, Digital for Time Inc. where he managed the Corporate Advertising Sales and Marketing team of 20 across all of Time Inc.’s digital properties. He also successfully developed and oversaw a proprietary data and audience targeting solution resulting in significant revenue growth. He was instrumental in launching Nick.com, NickJR.com for Viacom/MTV Networks and also managed, developed and launched the ScholasticTeenNetwork.com at Scholastic, Inc. and drove print & online advertising revenues at Wenner Media, Primedia for Seventeen and American Media. Chris holds his Bachelors Degree from Quinnipiac University and lives with his wife and two teenage children Zachary and Thea, and their dog Rico. He and his family enjoy surfing, snowboarding, skiing, and fishing as well as ice hockey, baseball and soccer.
Colin Brooks - Marketing/Brand Manager
Colin is a Flagler College graduate and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Marketing. Colin has been with HI-FI since it’s early establishment and continues to deliver key insights into HI-FI’s target demographic - the college environment. When Colin isn’t managing the HI-FI brand through sponsored events or HI-FI’s network of brand ambassadors, he is managing the back-end admin portal, overseeing the development process and scrubbing beta builds with a few of his co-workers. Colin has a passion for surfing, tech innovation and beer! #YoungGuns
Trina Dockery - Admin & Brand Ambassador Manager
Trina has a degree in Graphic Design from FSCJ and managed all graphic duties for 48 Woody’s BBQ’s. After receiving her Personal Training Certificate from ACSM she managed the personal training program at World Gym and owned an in home training business, Fit2Go. She then spend 6 years as the Amenities Facility Director and Community Events Coordinator for Palencia, a master planned community in St. Augustine, FL. Deciding that self- employment was more to her liking she formed World Fit Equip LLC. Trina is a self- proclaimed jack of all trades and is always looking for a new challenge to conquer! Trina has two daughters and enjoys everything the beach lifestyle has to offer.
Jonathan Loiacono - Finance
An aspiring astronaut and Excel guru, Jonathan has spent the last 10 years of his career working with rapidly growing and innovative companies executing a variety of organic and inorganic growth initiatives. As a passionate entrepreneur, he has served as consultant to a number of start-ups, and was a co-founder of Integrity Energy Group. Prior to HI-FI, Jonathan focused on corporate finance, venture capital and investment banking with American Tower Corporation, McNamee Lawrence & Company and Wellington Management Company. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys exploring new fly fishing spots, snowboarding and mountain life in Vermont. Jonathan is a graduate of Brown University and holds a MS in Finance from Bentley College. #dontstopexploring
Mac Haskell - Director
Mac is President of MTH Ventures, Inc., a company primarily involved in private investments and entrepreneurial endeavors. Besides Life In HIFI, MTH has made seed investments in many diverse companies such as MiMedx Group (MDXG Nasdaq), MRI Interventions (MRIC – OTC), SpringBank Pharma (SBPH Nasdaq), NDN/Inform, Phoenix Biotechnology, Nerium Biotechnology, Insightpool, FLYP, DemeRx and Maia Yogurt. Mac is also co-founder of the Murray Bros. Caddyshack whose flagship restaurant is in the World Golf Village, St.Augustine, FL. Mac began his career in New York at Merrill Lynch and Co. and earned his B.A. in Economics from Hobart College in 1980. He lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with his wife and two daughters and spends his summer nights flyfishing for stripers in Martha’s Vineyard.
Kirk Tovey - Director
HIFI, MelRok and Newdea board member. Kirk is an accomplished business executive and investor. Early in his career he became the most successful sales executive at Synthes Spine. He was the top sales revenue exec for 10 years. In January 2003, Kirk cofounded Globus Medical and personality raised Series A and B with friends and family. Tovey Surgical developed the highest volume and most successful distributorship in the US the first 8 years with $81M of revenue for the 8th year. Globus is now the 4th largest spinal device company in the world valued at over 2 Billion NYSE: GMED. Kirk likes to work hard to enjoy his time playing hard. He has a passion for surfing, SUP surfing and kitesurfing with his kids and friends. He also enjoys to do these things in his favorite place on the planet in the oceans of Baja Sur.
